We offer yoga classes for all abilities, from beginner to the advanced practitioner. Our teachers are the most experienced and qualified in town. They are interested in you and capable of relating the class to individual needs.
If you are new to the studio you can expect a warm welcome and a very inviting, relaxing atmosphere. Our emphasis is to support your yoga journey and encourage a regular yoga practice. We understand that everyone is equipped with their own strengths and yoga is not a competition but a process of discovery and recognition. This is a class suitable for all age groups, and is designed specifically to the needs of beginners wanting to gain a foundation in yoga, those recovering from any injury or needing to take care of their bodies with a gentle stretch. You will learn safe alignment to suit your body, using all the props as necessary. The class concludes with releasing restorative poses and a deep relaxation
This flow class emphasizes matching breath with movement in conscious sequences of asanas, so that practitioners can fully feel poses, in turn building strength, balance and awareness. Variations are offered to suit gentler and stronger levels of practice. Pranayama (breath work) and aspects of meditation are incorporated into all classes. Practitioners can expect to feel refreshed yet relaxed after class.
Zen-Yin is a gentle and loving way to start your Saturday mornings. This class is a breath-centered, subtle-body class. Exploring slow, steady movement and zenful length.
Chakra yoga is a class in which yogis and yogini’s can take a deeper look into their body and spirit. The Chakras are part of one’s subtle body and cannot be seen by the human eye. Vital energy flows through the body’s seven chakras; or energy vortex’s, creating balance and vitality. Chakra yoga uses a sequence of poses along with sounds and meditations that are beneficial for each chakra. This practice creates balance and energy alignment of the body and mind.
This donation-based class is open to all present and past military service members and their support systems. Those with injuries (both seen and unseen) are welcomed to practice yoga postures and breathing techniques to increase a sense of wellness and relaxation. No experience is required.
This class is great for brand new beginners as well as continuing students to get acquainted or define the many elements of yoga. Students practice proper alignment, find an increase in flexibility, discover the effects of breathing techniques, gain steadfastness with balancing postures and increase strength in a relaxed, non-competitive setting. A highly adaptive class focusing on meeting your body where it is today. Using multiple yoga tools such as chairs, blocks and bolsters, this class allows for increased flexibility, improved range of motion and overall stress relief in a compassionate, welcoming environment.
Laugh your stress away after a busy week and launch your weekend on a fun note! Laughing yoga is a unique and simple concept – you don’t need a sense of humor or comedy to laugh – I will show you how. The laughter allows us to oxygenate and energize the body, decrease stress hormones, and increase endorphins. Laughter Yoga is composed of four elements – laughter exercises which are usually done standing up, rhythmic clapping, mindful breathing and child-like playfulness. No yoga mat required, but please bring plenty of water.
This class uses large elements of foam rolling and other self-massage techniques combined with a more yin style yoga. The focus of Roll Yoga is to build and maintain a healthy muscle-tissue structure through self-release.
